Site Blurb- "These rich warm colours are calming and inviting!! Great for any outdoor photos!! The kit includes 14 papers, 4 labels, 4 tags, 10 various ribbons and trims, stitches, stickers, buttons, ribbon flowers, frames, fabric stars and a full alpha and number set"
I have picked this kit to review for two reasons. One is as a standalone kit, which I will expand below. The second is as a "go-to" kit. You know the problem. You are working on a LO, but the kit that you have chosen doesn't have the brown or green paper that you need, or doesn't have the exact element that you would place in the LO. If you have this kit on your hard-drive, problem solved. It looks like a kit you could dip in and out of and not get bored.
Papers - The close up on the papers show lovely textures and some great blending. I fancy the plaid, but the funky stretched stars paper would get a lot of use on my LOs. The paisley self-coloured paper is very intricate, and I like the blending and coloring work on the stylised butterfly paper and the brown and green large stylised floral paper.
Elements - The stretched fabric stars have some great stitching on them. The texture on them is beautiful, as is the texture on the tag strings. I like to have a bit of fun with tags by masking my pictures onto them, or using them as photo frames. The selection of flowers, frames and journalling boxes is good, one of the reasons I said that this would be a good go-to kit. The ribbons are elevated from being plain old ribbons by the use of the stitching, although the close up really shows the lovely texture. This is definitely a kit that has benefited by having a large close-up of it in the shop.
Alpha - I hardly ever comment on alphas as it is a very rare occasion when I will use them, I normally make my own. However, I like the simplicity of the font choice in this one. The close up shows a sort of "crumpled" effect on the alpha.
One Sentence A versatile kit for use in LOs or as a go-to kit on your hard drive.

Site blurb "A fresh and funky collaboration between Dani Mogstad and Traci Reed that will have your pages screaming spring! This massive kit includes a total of 15 gorgeous papers, plenty of fun embellishements, and 3 complete alphabets!!! Includes: 9 Patterned Papers, 6 Solid Papers, 3 Full inked edge Graph Paper Alphas, 4 Graph Paper Flowers, 2 Graph Paper Thought Bubbles, 3 Word Arts, 5 Feltie Flowers, 2 Collaged Flowers, 3 Ribbon Butterflies, 4 Glitter Trails, 5 Buttons, 3 binder clips, 4 bookplates, 1 felt “grass” trim, 1 beaded wire flower, 1 beaded wire photo corner, 3 stitches, 1 stitched ribbons photo corner, 3 felt rickracks, 3 gingham ribbons, 5 grosgrain ribbons and 5 beads."
Let me say straight away that I will always have a place in my heart for Dani Mogstad's "Timeless Kit". For a tiny kit I have definitely used it a lot. Because of this, every time I see the Mogstad name on a kit I squeal "Dani Mogstad!" in the style of a squeeing fangirl (but to myself. If I did it out loud that would just be weird!)
Papers - A good mix of patterns and plains in this kit. I love the inclusion of the purple papers. Purple is a very strong color to match, but they have managed it in this kit. The "In Your Face!"-ness of the purple is tempered by the dots that they have incorporated on one of the sheets. It co-ordinates well with the splashes of purple on the floral page. Looking at the mix of papers again, they have put quite a few strong colours together in a way that isn't overwhelming. The mix of pinks and blues means it can be used on both male and female LOs. The two striped papers are different enough from each other that they can be used one on top of each other for a real blast of funkiness.
Elements - Love the ribbon butterflies. Used in conjunction with the glitter trails they will really make a LO pop. The glitter trails and thought bubbles could also be used together to make a funky "call-out" on your picture. I like the mix of ribbons, especially the small purple gingham ribbon. I'm not a big fan of ric-rac, however I like the stitching they have added to their ric-rac to make it a bit different. The felt trim is fun, and I like all the different flowers. I can see them used one on top of each other to make a border or separation area in a LO. If you have a four word title for your LO I can see it split between all the journaling boxes, or even split journalling for something a bit different. The stitched ribbons photo corner is a nice touch. The pink, blue, and orange trimmed alphas cover all the bases and shows the versatility of this kit.
One sentence round up Does exactly as it says on the blurb - a fresh and funky collaboration that will indeed have your pages screaming "SPRING!"
